PokerTek Signs Six More Contracts

PokerTek Inc. closed more deals, signing six more contracts to provide electronic poker tables. All the PokerPro tables for PokerTek's clients are expected to be delivered before the year ends.

The PokerPro tables will be installed in casinos all over the world, namely in Michigan, Arkansas, Australia, United Kingdom and in Italy. The financial terms of the deal however, were not disclosed.

"Casino operators around the world are recognizing that automated poker delivers both increased player satisfaction and improved poker-room economics," says Chief Executive Lou White. "We are excited to add these casinos in various geographical areas to our growing customer base."

PokerTek is a software development company that has as one of its products PokerPro, an electronic poker table that does away with dealers and casino chips. Each PokerPro table can accommodate as much as 10 players.

The PokerPro table deals the cards, displays the dealt cards on private screens to the players and shows general information on a large screen located in the middle of the table. PokerPro also enables players to set up accounts for betting and allows them to keep tabs on statistical information on the games.

The PokerPro table has a genius design and increases casino revenue by speeding up play and reducing labor costs by eliminating an actual dealer.
